An Update from the Walkers    Summer 2010
"It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High." Psalm 92:1

Dear Friends,

Greetings from Panama - where rainy season has started and we are enjoying a much cooler climate! We trust that you are well and daily experience the Lord's grace and His enabling. This newsletter has lots of photos as we thought you would enjoy seeing the work.

The meetings in La Mina had been held under a tree, which was fine until the rains started! So during the last couple of months we have been working with the believers to erect a very basic meeting place. On 12th August a special meeting was held to dedicate the new meeting place to the Lord. The local community was invited and after the meeting there was rice and chicken for everyone and a film. Please pray that the message from the film and the meeting will touch hearts.

Two new Bible studies have started. The first one is in San Francisco with Monsarat and Georgina every Tuesday night. They both like to talk and often have comments about the evangelistic lesson. The second Bible study is just outside Santiago every Saturday night with Pablo and his wife. They are a young couple with a new baby. Pablo’s wife was raised Muslim and she always has lots of questions about the Bible.

Photo of Ramona Twice a week we take Ramona to hospital to have the wound on her foot cleaned. She had to have her big toe removed in December. For a while we thought she was going to have to get her whole foot removed because of gangrene but, thankfully, it is doing much better now.

Where she lives, in La Mina, there is no transport so she has no other way to get to the clinic if we didn't take her.

Please continue to remember Ramona before the Throne of Grace.
Since the beginning of June we have had somebody staying with us nearly all the time. One couple was Sabastian & Illaria. They came out from the tribe because Illaria had very high blood pressure.

Thankfully she was able to get the tests and medicine she needed while she was with us.

On the weekends their daughter, Bernabela, came from Panama City to visit them
