A Word from the Walkers    Winter 2010

Meeting
Meetings continue

Each Thursday and Sunday we have meetings in La Mina.

Please pray for the unsaved family members of those who attend.

Home Bible Studies
From the tract distribution in the village of San Francisco, we have had some good contacts and have started a Bible study in one home with Monsarat and his wife, Georgina. They are believers but lack much understanding of the Word and have not been attending any church on a regular basis for many years. There is no Fundamental Bible church of any sort in their town. Another home Bible study was started just outside Santiago with Pablo and Rima. They are a young couple with a baby. Pablo is Roman Catholic and his wife, Rima, is Muslim and they always have lots of questions about the Bible.
Cesar and Rosa
Cesar and Rosa, from Atalaya, also started studying the Bible with us recently. Neither of them can read nor write so the study has to be very simple for them. Please pray for each of these dear people that God would open their eyes to the Truth of His precious Word.

Our Lord Jesus Christ came into the world, why?

Luke 1: 79 "To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace."

Gospel Calendars
In November we received a shipment from Revival Movement, NI, of 40,000 gospel calendars as well as tracts and gospels of John. It was amazing to see how God worked out all the details with customs and having a lorry from Santiago right there at that time to deliver the pallets to our house. Please pray as we distribute these to churches all over the country as well as door to door in the villages around Santiago.

Men's Leadership meetings
The men's leadership meetings have been continuing, but unfortunately this last month or two the numbers have fallen and there seems to be a lack of interest in the responsibility men have within the churches. Please be praying that God would touch the hearts of men to take up the responsibility of leading their local congregations in the way God shows us in His Word! Please do thank the Lord for the few men who are still attending the meetings, that God would use them mightily in the churches for His Glory.

Keeping Track
Marta and daughter
Do you remember the two young girls, Marta & Yolanda, that we were helping to finish High School back in 2003-06? Recently when we were in Panama City we took the opportunity to visit Marta, who is now happily married and has a two year old girl. Marta lacks one year to become a qualified teacher but at present is privately teaching two wee boys and studying part time. Yolanda returned to the mountains and also married and has three children.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish each of you a very Happy Christmas and a Peaceful New Year.

We really appreciate your part in the ministry in Panama and we realise that it would not be possible for us to continue to be in Panama if you were not behind us.
