Earlier this month the needed rains had not arrived and the lakes for the hydro electric plants were almost dry so the country was put on reserve and all non emergency electricity had to be shut off between the hours of 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. Can you imagine the heat in the shops, banks, restaurants, etc. as all the air-conditioners were turned off! The school children were happy as they were given extra days off school. Thankfully the rains have started now and things are back to normal.
In April the church showed a movie and invited the local people in. Over 50 people came! We have been helping out a small church in Ocu and last Friday, 15 of us went for a night of Praise and Prayer, to encourage the Believers in Ocu.
Last Sunday we had the meeting at a waterfall in San Francisco and 4 young people were baptised. Please pray that they will be strong in their commitment for the Lord. Also, for the people who were there to swim in the river but listened to the service and watched the baptisms. We shared chicken and rice to some who were close by and they were from Colombia.
Next week we are expecting a number of men from interior for a 5 day seminar on church doctrine. Please pray that they will be encouraged as they return to their own areas to teach the believers.
Be praying too as Lord willing we will be in NI for the month of September and will be available for meetings. Please let us know by email if your fellowship would like us to visit and give an update.
Thank you for continuing to uphold us in prayer.
