A Word from the Walkers     Winter 2012

Dear praying friends,

Once again we want to thank you for remembering us before the Throne of Grace and also, to those who have given practical help in any way. This is not only our ministry, but your ministry, and we do recognise this very much!

Home Assignment

We Praise the Lord for our time at home in Northern Ireland. It has been quite busy with taking part in two missionary conferences in Scotland and England, Clive returned to Panama for a month, and a good number of meetings we have been able to speak at around the country. We are so thankful for so many of God’s people who have taken an interest in the Lord’s work in that needy land of Panama.

It was great being able to speak to many of you personally on the phone, as we have been updating our Newsletter list.

Return to Panama

On 29th November, Lord willing, we will be returning to Panama. As most of you may know, we have no place to live on our return to Panama as the owner of the house which we had rented has sold the house to someone else. Please be praying that the Lord would lead us to the right place to buy or to rent, both for us to live and also a place for the believers to meet.

Saturday night Men’s Meeting

We have been having a men’s Bible study and fellowship time for about a year now. The men are believers from the Atalaya fellowship - Hilario, Juan, Junior, Oliver, Domingo, Manuel and Albero. Please be praying that God would touch the hearts of these men to take up the responsibility of leading the local fellowship in the way God’s Word says.

Sunday Meetings

While being at home this time much of the work has continued with Manuel, Hilario, Juan and Junior leading the Sunday, Tuesday and the Saturday Men’s meetings. We are so thankful to the Lord for bringing Domingo and his family among us. Domingo has a licence to drive the mini-bus, so he has been picking up many of the believers for the meetings.

Gospel Calendars

Lord willing, by the time we return to Panama, 40,000 calendars from Every Home Crusade should have arrived at Panama customs after being shipped from Northern Ireland. It is always a challenge to deal with the people in various offices around the city, as well as the customs office itself, as it seems the rules and laws for receiving literature change each year.

During the months of December and January we will be delivering calendars to churches in some parts of the country as well as giving them out door to door in seven different villages and towns around the Province of Veraguas where we live. You could remember the towns that God would give us opportunities to share the Gospel with those who show an interest. They are: Atalaya, La Colorada, La Pena, Montijo, Calobre, San Francisco and La Soledad

Praise for:

  • Many opportunities to share about the Lord’s work in Panama
  • Judith is enjoying her course in college and passed her driving test in October.
  • Pray for:

  • Us to settle quickly into life in Panama again.
  • Wisdom in looking for a house to live in, whether to buy or rent.
  • Judith as she adjusts to living in Northern Ireland.
  • Getting the calendars, tracts, etc. out of customs and delivered.
  • Christmas Greetings

We would like to take this opportunity to wish each of you a very Happy Christmas and a Peaceful New Year.  We really do appreciate your part both in prayer and practical support for the work in Panama.
